Q: There is a person with weak hearing who often does not hear the imaam. Should they pray by themselves or recite for themselves behind the imaam?
A: They should pray with the imaam and follow people by looking [at their actions]. It has been related that the prophet ﷺ would sometimes look out of the corner of his eye during the prayer, so if the congregation are in a situation where they must do so, it is permissible.
